Hurricanes

Grant understands the physical, emotional, and financial toll hurricanes can take on individuals and their families. Our team is dedicated to advocating for the rights of those who have suffered damage to their homes or businesses, and is committed to securing the compensation you deserve to help you on your journey to recovery.

Claim Process

1. Investigate the Damage

Once you hire Grant to represent you, his first step is to gather any claim information, policy information, repair documentation, and photographs of the damage. If your insurer has underpaid you or outright denied your claim, Grant will figure out why.

2. Notify Insurer of Representation

Once Grant has reviewed your claim, he will send a letter to your insurance company notifying them of his representation and requesting that all communication be directed to his office. This will take some pressure off of you while Grant attempts to negotiate policy benefits on your behalf.

3. Ensure All Damage Has Been Properly Documented

If you have already received a full estimate of the damages from a trusted source, such as a contractor, building consultant, or public adjuster, you’re ahead of the game. If not, no problem at all. Grant has a team of trusted experts ready to fully evaluate the damage to your property.

4. Attempt Settlement

Once all of the damage to your home, both repaired and un-repaired, has been fully documented, Grant will submit the documentation to your insurer and attempt to negotiate a settlement.

5. File Suit and Proceed to Trial

If informal settlement negotiations fail because the insurance company won’t agree to fairly compensate you for your covered damage, Grant is prepared to file suit and represent you in court. Once is suit is filed, further opportunities for settlement may present themselves. Otherwise, we will put your case in front of a jury and argue for the best possible result.
